Billboard - Maroon 5 dominates the weekly Hot Tours recap with box office revenue reported from the bulk of the band’s world tour in support of its album V.

Ticket sales totaling $52.2 million lands on the tally based on 653,984 sold tickets at 45 performances reported during the past week. Adding the shows that were reported to Billboard in previous weeks, the tour’s overall gross now reaches $71.1 million from a total of 60 concerts in 2015, attended by 874,880 fans.

Dubbed the Maroon V tour, the trek hit five continents this year beginning with a 28-city run through North America from Feb. 16 through April 6. A slate of European dates followed during May and June, along with one festival appearance in Africa at the Mawazine Festival in Morocco. Two more U.S. dates in August and an Asian leg in September led into a five-city swing through Australia and New Zealand that wrapped on Oct. 4.

The tour’s highest-grossing engagement worldwide was a two-show stint in Taiwan on Sept. 14-15 with $3.6 million in sales reported from 38,996 sold seats at the Taipei World Trade Center Nangang Exhibition Hall. In North America, New York’s Madison Square Garden logged the top gross with a $2.8 million take from 29,666 fans at sellouts on March 5 and 6. Also of note was the band’s third date in the metropolitan New York City market, the March 8 show at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, N.J. That performance was the final concert at the 34-year old arena that closed shortly afterward.

A handful of 2015 dates remain for the Maroon V jaunt, including a two-night New Year’s Eve run in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, but the tour is set to continue into 2016. A Latin American leg is booked in five countries in February and March.

Following at No. 2 in the Hot Tours roundup is Taylor Swift with sales reported from four recent performances on her 1989 tour that wraps in North America on Oct. 31. Sold out shows at two arenas and one stadium land on this tally, adding $12.7 million to the tour’s overall gross that now registers $185 million. The stadium show, held on Oct. 17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, took in $7.3 million, the highest gross for a single performance among the 14 stadium dates already played on the tour. Of the two-night stadium engagements, the top grosser is MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. with $13.4 million and an attendance count of 110,105 on July 10-11.
