Billboard - Adam Levine has moved from CAA to WME, The Hollywood Reporter and Billboardhave exclusively learned. The agency also has signed Maroon 5 and will represent both the band and frontman Levine in all areas.
Since breaking through with 2002’s Songs About Jane, Maroon 5 has remained a top act, selling more than 27 million albums and 48 million singles around the world. The band’s accolades include three Grammys (including best new artist), three AMAs, four Billboard Music Awards and four Teen Choice Awards. Maroon 5 is currently in the middle of a two-year, 104-date world tour in support of its fifth album, V, stopping in 64 arenas in North America and grossing approximately $71.4 million so far.
Frontman Levine’s wattage also has risen, most prominently via his role as a coach on all nine seasons of NBC’s The Voice. As an actor, he was featured on season two of FX’s American Horror Story, subtitled Asylum, before starring opposite Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo in 2013’s indie romance Begin Again. Levine’s business ventures include his label 22 Records, a Kmart capsule collection, an eponymous fragrance line and an endorsement for Proactiv+.
Levine and Maroon 5 continue to be managed by Jordan Feldstein at Career Artist Management and by Live Nation.
